TWGR [Alaska] Haines part 1
The final step of my 2013 North America trip, Haines Alaska, the freerider's dream.
I spent 3 weeks in this place known as the mecca of freeride. It's always good to plan a long stay if you want to have the chance to fly and ride... or pray for a lucky weather window. When I arrived in Haines it was snowing eggs. I spent the first days at 33 Miles White House, staring at the yellow AH helis sleeping in the garden and waiting wisely for sun...
And I got on the yellow machine, so good to fly over the infinite mountains! Here we are, in the middle of paradise...
TWGR [Alaska] Juneau Douglas Island
I spent two days in Juneau during my trip to Alaska. Eaglecrest is a small ski resort on Douglas Island which gives access to beautiful backcountry.
My first experience with Alaskan snow was magic... landscapes were breathtaking and snow better than in a dream.
TWGR [British Columbia] Monashee mountains
After having spent two days in Revelstoke resort I joined Mustang Powder cat skiing operation for a few days of snowboarding in the Monashee mountains range.
We were not so lucky with the weather but we had two good powder days. Amazing terrain, good guides, nice people, lot of fun...
TWGR [Aravis] Blonnière - Chauchefoin - Marion
Long splitboard outing in the Aravis range with a total of 2300m climbing to ride the Blonnière valley, the Chauchefoin chute and Marion valley.
